I mostly saw drums but I saw a few trumpet-ish things. I saw a giant drum that looked pretty awesome and hard to lift not all that practicle... but cool, definatly cool. -Sarah Palin
i noticed that they carried brass instoments and they also had flutes and drums. I think that drum corps of 8th New York state militia, arlington,Va.,June,1861 was my favorite. dr. pepper
I noticed some brass interments and some drums. To it's most interesting to see some brass because it seems like it would be hard to play on the battle felled.
There was a lot of Brass and drums, much like a Modern marching band. There were also some clarinets, or it looked like it. What's most interesting in the pictures is the different instruments and the big drum. Luigi Rogez
i noticed a smaller drum and a bigger drum and I saw some brass instruments in the line of people and I think the instruments would be hard to play the whole day during a long battle. James Madison
There were A LOT of drums. so many of them can't be very practical. My favorite instrument was the baritones. The most interesting thing looking in the pictures for me was the ones with the tent thing-y on top of the people.
The instrements that I notice in the pictures are mostly drums and flutes (fifers). The most interesting thing looking at the pictures was seeing all the people in formation and unionform at one time.
The instruments I noticed in the pictures was drums, fifes, I even saw some brass instruments! The thing I found most intresting about hte pictures was that even the mucisans carried wepons.
I notice drums and lots of brass instruments. I see some woodwind instruments such as the fifier and the flute. The most interesting thing I see is that there are so many trumpets and tubas. Those must have been very heavy to carry around!
I don't understand what the point of carrying huge drums around everywhere is. They could always use smaller drums to make it easier for the people carrying them. I think that the fifes are really cool.
There was some drums that looked cool . . . . i guess. . . and there was some trumpets that were small and big. . . and you know looked like trumpets. I really love it! *cross fingers* No really i do. . . . . ah ha

DRUMS, BANJOS, AND HORNS I THINK. SEEING HOW DIFFERENT LIFE WAS AND HOW THEIR INSTRUMENTS ARE NOT NEARLY AS NICE AS OUR'S HERE IN MODERN TIMES.

ReplyDeleteI saw a lot of drums and different kinds of horns. It looks fun to be in a band in the Civil War. Most of the instruments didn't look that nice.
