Another differance was the instruments were of much better quality in the North. Brass and metal was limited in the South. There are many other ways the North and South bands are different, but thats just a few.
i think that having a band in the civil war is pointless because the people would need to carry big drums around all the time and they did not really help any thing. But i like the fifers they are cool.
